Longchen Rabjam Online Dharma Academy is a unique and pioneering program founded by Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche, offering a distinctive Buddhist learning experience. This comprehensive program integrates multiple components, including in-depth courses in Buddhist Philosophy, Meditation, online guided tours, access to a well-stocked digital library, instruction in sacred mudra practices, guidance in performing rituals, and the intricate art of crafting religious tormas.
Rooted in the esteemed Pema Lingpa lineage of the Nyingma school of Buddhism, the academy upholds the authenticity of its teachings while making them accessible to a global audience. The learning process is conducted online, utilizing a combination of recorded video teachings, textual resources, and interactive study materials.
Students have the flexibility to enroll either as degree-seeking or non-degree students, allowing them to engage at a level that suits their aspirations. The curriculum is meticulously designed to provide rigorous Buddhist knowledge, equipping students not only for higher Buddhist practices but also for the practical application of these teachings in daily life.
Blending traditional wisdom with modern educational methods, the academy caters to students, scholars, and practitioners beyond the monastic world. It is structured to align with contemporary learning approaches while preserving the complete essence of the Buddhist path—both in academic depth and practical spiritual realization.

How we work
Longchen Rabjam Online Dharma Academy offers a structured academic program designed to provide an authentic and comprehensive Buddhist education while allowing students to integrate their studies into their daily lives.
1. Core Academic Program – Six-Year Structured Learning
The academy's main academic program follows a six-year structured curriculum, with each year covering three carefully selected subjects. This gradual approach ensures that students build a strong foundation in Buddhist philosophy, practice, and scholarship, progressing systematically through different levels of study.
2. Enrollment Options: Degree and Non-Degree Study
Students have the flexibility to enroll in courses either as degree (credit) or non-degree (audit) learners, depending on their goals and level of commitment:
- Degree (Credit) Students: These students formally enroll in the structured six-year curriculum, completing assessments, assignments, and examinations. Their progress is evaluated, and upon successful completion of the program, they receive certification that may be equivalent to a formal Buddhist degree. This path is designed for those who wish to pursue advanced Buddhist studies, teaching roles, or professional engagement in Buddhist scholarship.
